Bring your own device (BYOD)

As part of our strong and ongoing commitment to high quality, 21st century teaching and learning experiences, West Pennant Hills Public School will continue to implement a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program in 2025.

BYOD allows students in Stage 3 (Year 5 and 6) only to bring a personally owned and school approved device to school for the purpose of learning. The school can provide the ability to connect compatible devices to a filtered internet service.

Different BYOD models have been considered, but West Pennant Hills Public School has chosen to include any device which is compatible with our wireless network and on which students can create documents. Under this model, students and teachers can bring any devices that can connect to the school’s 5Ghz wifi.
