This letter is an update on CDC NSW’s services and measures we are taking to keep our passengers safe from COVID-19 - many of whom are your students. Our number one priority is the health and safety of our passengers, drivers and staff and to date, we have not had any incidents on our buses or in our depots.
Therefore, all school bus services are currently operating as scheduled. For your peace of mind, we have taken the following biosecurity measures: We have elevated our level of bus cleanliness by using hospital-grade disinfectant during daily interior cleaning.
- We have issued our drivers with personal packs of hand sanitiser which can be topped up at the depot as required.
- All bus air-conditioning units have been switched to the fresh-air cycle setting.
- We’re implementing social distancing practices in line with health authority guidelines. We will continue to take the advice of the government, transport authorities and health authorities should future changes to our services be required.
If there are any required alterations, Hillsbus will contact your school directly and also post notification to our website cdcbus.com.au/hillsbus
We would ask that you actively advise staff and families to check this site regularly both during and outside of school hours, in order to stay informed of any unexpected change to services.
We would also request that if your school closes, or if any student from your school tests positive to COVID-19, that you notify us immediately by contacting 8889 7000.
