



School counselling staff are members of the school learning and support team.
A teacher may recommend the service by referring a student to the school’s learning and support team. As a parent or carer, you may refer your child directly to the school counselling service. Students can also self-refer to the service.

Our school has taken part in the voluntary National Schools Chaplaincy Program, since early 2016. Our School Chaplain / Wellbeing Support Officer, Mrs Ruth Middleton works closely with the Learning Support Team and School Principal, to complement well-being services within the school.
Ruth is available to support the social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of students, staff and families, regardless of faith or background. She also provides a trusted, caring presence within the school, having the time and training to listen, support and refer appropriately. Programs are run to help students develop self- esteem, friendships, support in dealing with grief and loss, and to build personal resilience. She currently works 3 days a week (Wed/Thurs/ Fri)
